A Portrait of Paris as a Harbour

Album A Portrait of Paris as a Harbour (2006) consists of two long compositions stylized as audio recordings of environment of Parisian port in which various stories take place. In their narration music and words equally apply - tones evoking the urban bustle complement with the images of symbolist poems by Jules Laforgue, which penetrate rather into the soul of the observer. Sonically the album oscillates between ambient, interpreted as merging, and industrial, which reveals the harmonic possibilities of primarily non-musical sound situations. The album has thus expressive scenic features, and it can be understood as a record of theatrical pantomime or as a vague background coulisse of a short film.

Album Portrét Paříže jako přístavu z roku 2006 tvoří dvě delší kompozice stylizované jako zvukové záznamy prostředí pařížského přístavu, v němž se odehrávají různé příběhy. Při jejich vyprávění se rovnoměrně uplatňuje hudba i slova - tóny navozující představu městského ruchu se doplňují se symbolistními obrazy básní Julese Laforgua, které však pronikají spíše do nitra pozorovatele. Zvukově album osciluje mezi ambientem, interpretovaným jako splývání, a industrialem, jenž odhaluje harmonické možnosti primárně nehudebních zvukových situací. Album má tedy výrazné scénické rysy a je ho možné chápat také jako záznam divadelní pantomimy nebo jako nezřetelnou zvukovou kulisu krátkého filmu.
