I composed these twelve compositions (The Roe Deer Tracks) in the summer 2004 with the aim to evoke an individual scenic or landscape impression connected with an illusion of movement readable from the animal tracks in nature. I chose the different ideal recordings of (not only) roe deer tracks as the scores which I tried to interpret in musical way as the story or its part. In harmony with the colourfulness of the imprints of animal tracks I tried to reach the highest possible sound variety and I inspired myself with the nature in all of her phases, in the all circulation of her. It’s the main source of the difference of all the compositions. Contrastive and harmonious combinations of melodic lines with abstract (atmospheric) sound extent are the pictures of the perfect interplay of the life in its natural (and so the essential) surrounding.
Choose of the instruments was aimed by the recalled disposition for interpret the ideal scores with the melodic lines and so created the musical works based on communication of different harmonies. I choose acoustic guitar, upright piano, cither and flute. Individual melodic lines I was both editing electronically and leaving in its primary forms and I was flaking them by different ways with the aim to reach rare sound quality.
The cycle is also a tribute to Austrian novelist Felix Salten whose symbolist novel Bambi reflecting plenitude of the ingenious life in nature was one of my great inspirations for my compositions.

Dvanáct skladeb Podoby srních stop jsem složil během léta 2004 s cílem vzbudit každou z těchto miniatur scénický či krajinný dojem usouvztažněný s iluzí pohybu, který je možné vyčíst ze zvířecích stop v přírodě. Různé ideální záznamy (nejen) srních stop jsem si zvolil jako partitury, které jsem hudebně interpretoval jako událost. V souladu s barvitostí reálných kompozic zvířecích stop jsem se snažil o nejvyšší možnou zvukovou pestrost a inspiroval jsem se přírodou všech ročních období, celým jejím koloběhem. Z toho vychází různá členitost jednotlivých skladeb. Kontrastní i souladné kombinace melodických linek s abstraktními (atmosférickými) zvukovými plochami jsou obrazem dokonalé souhry života v jeho přirozeném, tedy dokonalém prostředí.
Nástroje jsem volil s ohledem k představenému záměru interpretovat ideální partitury především melodickými linkami, a vytvořit tak hudební celky založené na komunikaci různých harmonií. Vybral jsem tedy akustickou kytaru, pianino, citeru a flétnu, jejichž melodické linky jsem elektronicky upravoval nebo ponechával v původním stavu s cílem dosáhnout výjimečné zvukové nuancovanosti. Při stylizaci některých skladeb jsem dále využil upravovaných zvuků rádia, především různých šumů. Jednotlivé stopy jsem vrstvil a dále upravoval, abych docílil zamýšleného dojmu.
Cyklus je zároveň poctou rakouskému spisovateli Felixu Saltenovi, jehož symbolistický román Bambi tematizující dokonalost přirozeného života v přírodě a jeho poznávání, byl jedním z hlavních inspirací mého cyklu.
