INCARNATION
Things are no longer the same, but they are still
The way they’ll never be. We are still here.
They are no longer and there’ll come a time
When we also will be gone.
The time of future incarnations.
We live the lives
Of those we love.
And the strength of words will grow towards the end.
Solutions, if any, are only illusory.
Life is incarnation, life is a part of death.
Life is a part of death.
Life is incarnation
And time is temporality
And the dream is without end.

Už není, jak bylo, ještě však je
pořád, jak nebude, zatím jsme tu.
Oni už nejsou víc a přijde čas,
kdy taky nebudem,
čas příštích vtělení.
Žijeme životy
těch, které milujem.
A slova naberou konci vstříc na síle.
Jestliže řešení, pak jenom zdánlivá.
Život je vtělení, život je smrti část.
Život je smrti část.
Život je vtělení
a čas je dočasnost
a bez konce je sen.

JUNE
A foreign body unto himself
He cannot stand himself inside him
He commits atrocities on himself.
He lets injustice take its course on him.
He feels that were he doing drugs
A fit would help.
If he had God above,
He might take comfort in prayer.
There’s waste land all around.
So he sinks a blade into his body,
To see how that will affect the soul inside of him.
How deep are you, if you are there?
June is the cruellest month.
Perhaps if he had faith
He would have sung his praises to the Lord
For such a stairway to him.
But there is no God,
The waste land will never change.
He would believe, but there is nothing to believe in.
Perhaps he wouldn’t be afraid of himself
In the arms of another human being,
But he is shy of people.
He is shy of his furious hatred
Of his own nostalgia and hunger
And all the other faces in the waste land.
June is the cruellest month.

Sám sobě cizím tělesem,
sám sebe v sobě nesnese,
na sobě zvěrstvo páchá.
Na sobě průchod zvůli dá.
Cítí, že kdyby droby bral,
pomohla by mu dávka.
Kdyby měl Boha nad sebou,
snad by si ulevil modlitbou.
Kolem je jenom pustina.
Tak vrazí ostří do těla,
co to s duší v něm udělá?
Jak hluboko jsi, jsi-li tam?
Červen je nejkrutější.
Možná, že kdyby víru měl,
Bohu by slova díků pěl
za tyhle schody k němu.
Jenomže žádný Bůh není,
pustinu nic nepromění.
Věřil by, nemá však čemu.
V náruči jiného člověka
snad by se sebe sám nelekal,
před lidmi se ale stydí
za to, že jak svůj stesk i hlad,
ostatní tváře v pustinách
zuřivě nenávidí.
Červen je nejkrutější.

SOUNDHENGE
The sounds of words rise up like flames.
High above us they hear our whispering.
And when they hear my voice, they already expect yours.
What new words have we learned since yesterday
That would warm their hearts?
How perceptive are we to the presence of an angel?
Like mists the sounds of words rise up
Condensing into drops on stained glass on the choirs.
The glitter of candles in them twinkling into the outside dusk-dark.
They are difficult to recognise, easy to be dismissed as illusions.
In the end we will have to touch an angel,
Rise up on sound. Amen.

Zvuky slov stoupají směrem vzhůru jako plamen.
Vysoko nad námi slyší, co tiše šeptáme.
A když slyší můj hlas, na ten tvůj už čekají.
Jaká jsme nová zas poznali od včera
slova, která je u srdce zahřejí?
Jak jsme vnímaví na přítomnost anděla?
Zvuky slov jak páry stoupají směrem vzhůru.
V kapkách se srážejí na vitrážích na kůru.
V nich se odlesk svící třpytí ven do šera.
Těžko jej rozpoznat, lehko nazvat klamem.
Nezbytno nakonec dotknout se anděla,
na zvuku vystoupat. Amen.
