In the summer of 2019, Abbé Brémond Ensemble began preparing two albums simultaneously, which aimed to reflect the changing love experience musically and which was completed in March, respectively in April 2020. Both were created on the same basis of free improvisations and fragmentary compositions from edited field recordings. The first of the albums, Les Fragments d'un discours amoureux, focuses on selected expressions of certain phases of the subjective experience of love and was inspired by the book of the same name by Roland Barthes. Barthes emphasized the uniqueness of this experience and the uniqueness of its articulation, and gave examples of diverse variants of verbal expressions approaching the changing world of a lover. Barthes's composition of quotations and interpretations forms the fluctuating portrait of love in its expansion and decline, in its happiness and suffering, in its movement and motionlessness - and at the same time gives a vague grammar of the language of love, which everyone acquires in his own way.

The individual compositions of eponymous album of Abbé Brémond Ensemble strive for the same thing: they examine how love permeates the individual vision of the world, its formulation, its evaluation and treatment with it and how is reflected in the mental, physical and spiritual planes. The compositions are formed from three basic layers, which reflect (in varying intensities) the mental state, the spiritual opinion and the bodily relation to the world. All three and their integration are characterized by a certain automatism, spontaneity or intuition, which governs the strategies of conquering the desired heart, and the dialogue between everything that man is and to which he relates. The compositions reach the immediacy and subjectivity of these constellations, which form and renew man daily, with improvised layers - the keyboard and guitar layer responds mainly to the lover's firing nerves and the play on dried flowers Lunaria annua presents the corporeality - how the world resounds under the changing touches of lover’s hands. The image of the world - its ever new re-readings - is reflected by the strips of field recordings, the responses to new hearings of the earth's sounding. The twelve statements that the album contains are just a selection of the most distinctive and expressive allocutions of love in one story. Perhaps not only from the titles, but also from the music itself, it flows that this story did not end very happily - but it does not matter. The way to a beloved being is often more important than resting together and consolation. So up for the next passage!

V létě 2019 začal Abbé Brémond Ensemble připravovat souběžně dvě alba, která měla hudebně reflektovat proměňující se milostnou zkušenost a která byla dokončena v březnu, resp. v dubnu 2020. Obě vznikla na tomtéž základě volných improvizací a fragmentárních kompozic z upravovaných terénních nahrávek. První z alb, Fragmenty milostného diskurzu, se soustředí na vybraná vyjádření určitých fází subjektivního prožívání lásky a inspirovala jí stejnojmenná kniha Rolanda Barthese. Barthes zdůraznil jedinečnost tohoto prožitku a neopakovatelnost jeho artikulace a podal příklady rozrůzňujících se variant slovesných projevů, přibližujících měnící se svět zamilovaného. Barthesova skladba citací a výkladů utváří proteovský portrét lásky v jejím rozšiřování i ubývání, v jejím štěstí i strastech, v jejím pohybu i trnutí – a současně podává jakousi nezřetelnou gramatiku jazyka lásky, kterou si každý osvojuje po svém.

Jednotlivé skladby stejnojmenného alba Abbé Brémond Ensemble usilují o totéž: zkoumají, jak láska proniká individuálním viděním světa, jeho formulací, hodnocením i zacházením s ním; jak se odráží v psychické, tělesné i duchovní rovině. Skladby utvářejí tři základní vrstvy, které v proměnlivých intenzitách zrcadlí duševní stav, duchovní názor i tělesné vztahování se ke světu. Pro všechny tři i pro jejich integraci je příznačný určitý automatismus, spontaneita či intuice, která řídí strategie dobývání vytouženého srdce, a dialog mezi vším, čím člověk je a k čemu se vztahuje. Bezprostřednosti i subjektivnosti těchto konstelací, které utvářejí a dennodenně obnovují člověka, skladby dosahují právě improvizovanými podklady – klávesová a kytarová vrstva reaguje především na vznícené nervstvo milencovo a hra na sušené květiny Měsíčnice roční (Lunaria annua) zpřítomňuje tělesnost – jak se svět rozeznívá pod měnícími se doteky milencových rukou. Obraz světa – jeho stále nová pře-čtení – pak zrcadlí pásy terénních nahrávek, ohlasy nových zaslechnutí zemského znění. Dvanáct výroků, které album obsahuje, je jen výběrem těch nejpříznačnějších a nejvýraznějších zaznění lásky v rámci jednoho příběhu. Snad nejen z názvů, ale i z hudby samé vyplývá, že se právě tento příběh neuzavřel zrovna šťastně – ale to nevadí. Sama cesta k milované bytosti je často důležitější než společné spočinutí a vzájemná útěcha. Tak vzhůru na další cestu!
