Recordings on the Road was founded in late 2014 as a platform for publishing old and new recordings by groups and projects connected with Milan Holeček and Ká. However its scope has gradually spread to other creators as well as to literature, its main artistic interest remains preserved: we firmly want to publish only the works that immediately and initially (personally, newly) respond to life, and preferably those who turn to life facing all the risks that it brings, opening to it, experiencing it, arguing with it, or questioning it to become more familiar with it.
This November we are completing our eighth year and as our ninety-sixth record we release another one of our anthologies serving as a guide to our catalogue. As the name suggests, we try to bring as fully as possible to the world as it is captured by our artists. FAQ and Memorial expand the created world with their song-things individually and responsibly, Wild Orchestras of Garden of Star patiently study the shades of the sound palette of a big city park, Ká and Abbé Brémond Ensemble try to listen to the world attentively above all...

Nakladatelství Recordings on the Road vzniklo koncem roku 2014 jako platforma zpřístupňující dosud nepublikované nebo šíře nedistribuované nahrávky hudebních seskupení spojených s Milanem Holečkem a Ká, i jejich nové počiny. Postupně se jeho záběr rozšířil o další tvůrce a rovněž o literaturu, přičemž hlavní umělecký zájem zůstává zachován: chceme i nadále publikovat takové práce, které bezprostředně a původně (osobitě, nově) reagují na život, a to nejlépe ty, které se obracejí k životu čelem se všemi riziky, jež to přináší, otevírají se mu, sžívají se s ním, polemizují s ním či jej problematizují, aby jej hlouběji poznaly.
Letošního listopadu završujeme osmý rok a jako svou devadesátou šestou nahrávku vydáváme další ze svých antologií sloužících jako rozcestník k vydaným albům. Jak název napovídá, snažíme se co nejúplněji uvést do světa, jak jej zachycují naši umělci. FAQ i Memorial svými písněmi-věcmi rozšiřuji osobitě i odpovědně stvořený svět, Wild Orchestras of Garden of Star trpělivě studují odstíny zvukové palety jednoho velkoměstského parku, Ká a Abbé Brémond Ensemble se snaží světu především naslouchat…
